Hey guys,
This article is rather special. I was asked to try on a pair of boots by Stacy Adams and, to be honest, the hardest part was NOT writing this article and taking the shots. It was picking the right pair for my wardrobe needs.
As I’m already stocked up of brogues, desert boots and other common types of shoes, I decided to shoot for the moon and go for the all mighty monk-strap boot… or Hawthorne as they call it.
Why? Let me ask you this: how may people have you seen lately, that are wearing them?
The monk strap shoe needs no introduction for the style aficionado, yet very few newbies dare to (at least) try it on. This boggles me since monk strap shoes stand out in a very subtle way. There’s nothing gross or flashy about them.
I was curious as to what this new line of shoes is all about, so I was a little nervous when I open the box. TO my surprise, the shoes I got are amazing!
Take a look at my Stacy Adams pair below:
As you can see, the round toe cap is the one I always recommend for shoes (although you can go for something a little more square if that’s what you like).
The straps are, obviously, the best part. They stand out in a very subtle way and the black goes well with my otherwise amazing pair of dyed blue jeans. Here’s the link to the actual pair, by the way.
Do you want one for yourself?
