How Should Men Wear Scarves
Up until recently, men would hardly wear scarves. They just limited themselves to watches and ties, like their fathers did. However, things are changing: men have discovered the power of scarves and are wearing them in dozens of ways.
If you want to upgrade your outfit with a cheap and VERY stylish accessory, a scarf is the solution. It works with both casual and formal outfits and you’re perfectly safe to choose one in bold colors.
I’m going to show you two things:
1. what are some of the best ways of matching your scarf with shirts, sweaters, blazers and even t-shirts
and 2. what are some of the coolest knots you can try for a complete stylish look.
Color!
Most men are afraid of color. And yet, that’s the most important part when it comes to scarves. The sexiest scarf a man can wear is one in bold colors.
But you can’t just pick any color. It has to match with the outfit and, most importantly, the rest of the outfit should be in black, white, gray or darker shades. This way this works is the scarf in a crazy color like red or baby blue will stand out and attract the eye to your face.
As men we don’t want too many bold colors on us. A scarf is enough. But for the contrast to work, the rest of the outfit should be in normal colors. Just think of colors you normally wore before you knew about men’s style.
Here’s an idea of how it looks (ignore the shape of the pants, those are not something I recommend you wear on a day-to-day basis):

This is not the only way though – there are plenty of ways to matching your scarf.
You can match it with your hair…
… your belt or pants…

(be careful of silk scarves, when to wear them and when not to wear them).
Ways to wear them
One of the things you can play with when it comes to scarves is the way you wrap them around your neck.
Some of these knots have been kept around in the dark for a long time. Only women would use them.
Now, however, wearing interesting scarf knots has become very fashionable for both sexes.
I’m not going to go into details about all the knots. I’ll do this in subsequent articles (which you can follow by RSS here ).
I’m just going to reveal to you the best scarf knot you can try: the Parisian Knot. You can see it in the picture below: it looks masculine and easy to do.
You’ve seen this knot in the Beckham picture above. It’s so simple to do even a child could make it.
Fold the scarf in two, then wrap it around your neck. After that just insert the two ends through the loophole.
Are YOU wearing scarves? Or are you just afraid you’ll have too many women trying to start conversations with you? 🙂
