How to Eliminate the Clark Kent and Turn Yourself Into Superman
Who didn’t love the amazing Superman series, where the shy and dull dressed Clark Kent would, at times, reveal his double identity?
From a fashion standpoint, clearly Superman was no style addict. The bold colors and elastic fabrics he wore certainly didn’t help him achieve than. But let’s look at things from a different perspective.
One the one hand we have Clark.
Clearly his formal attire is well put together (though his haircut needs a change). But there’s something about the way he looks that is very, very booooring.
You see, Clark is a nice guy… actually too nice. His character is suppose to represent a weak man, who believes the world is this fair place and that he should play by the rules all the time. His clothes are congruent to what he is on the inside: weak and insecure.
Not that’s anything wrong with wearing formal attire. In fact, you can stand out A LOT in suits if you do your homework and learn a little about men’s style.
But then, on the other hand, there’s Superman.
Ever wondered why he always wears bold colors? What could be the significance of that? I’ll give you a second to try figure it out. 🙂
It’s obvious, right? Only a bold man would wear bold colors. He knows he’s here to save the world and the colors here’s wearing are congruent to his way of being.
Like I said, Superman is no fashionista. He’s not wearing any of the clothing items I recommended you in the Be Stylish ™ package.
If fact, it’s the same person, the same physical body, the same actor. Yet, the difference between the two avatars is incredibly obvious.
So when are you going to let go of Clark Kent, and unleash the Superman within? No, you don’t have to wear red, blue and yellow at once but here are some of the things you can do to improve your personal image:
– wear brighter and bolder colors
– give up that nice guy image that’s been holding you back
– chances are you are wearing clothes that you think that are cool but are in fact outdated
