We all know that shoes make the man. We discussed shoes in some pretty in-depth articles in the past and we know they’re crucial to any outfit.

But what most men don’t know is that there are a few types of shoes that are out there. They’re entire purpose is to stand out on their own through unusual decorations and colors. Best part: there’s nothing weird or funny about them. They will make you look like a man… a man who knows what he wants.

White brogues

Shoe colors are not that many but, by far, the one that will make you stand out the most is white (note: white is a non-color, by the way, along with black).

If you’re out picking up some ladies in the street, this is perfect to project that confident image women are so much attracted to. White brogues can also work well in clubs but, because of the dim light and the chance of getting stepped on every 5 minutes, I’d avoid wearing them in these venues.

What to wear them with

Go ahead and wear them with a pair of simple jeans – they will be the centerpiece of your attire. I’d avoid wearing them with fancy jeans that are overloaded with cuts and fancy pockets. You’d be mixing a piece of clothing that’s too formal with one that’s too casual – doesn’t work.

Just go for a pair of jeans (they can be blue, black grey, you name it because white goes well with anything).

One thing that I would add to an outfit that has white brogues is a dress shirt. I wouldn’t wear brogues with just jeans and a t-shirt. Shirts are more formal than t-shirt so you’d have a better balance of formal and casual in your outfit.
