Sherpa Adventure Gear Launches the Adventure Anywhere Line

We are always looking to work and collaborate with brands with great style and functionality. When we seen the latest adventure line by Sherpa we had to take a closer look. The new adventure gear line weaves together the latest apparel designs and technology, with the rich culture of Nepal. The latest line brings intricate patterns, an abundance of color and traditional Nepali textiles to your wanderlust travels. Brands that give back in someway to society should always be praised and Sherpa Adventure  Gear does this in a big for the children of Nepal.  From every product sold they donate a portion of the proceeds which helps in funding education and empowerment projects.  This commitment to the next generation of Nepal allows Sherpa to improve the lives of Nepalis everywhere.

“This season was inspired by the patterns, prints and people of the Himalayas, with individual collections centered around time-honored textiles of the region,” says Tsedo Sherpa-Ednalino, Sherpa Adventure Gear’s COO. “Designed for road trips to the desert, spring break in the tropics, hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest, camping through national parks and exploration of new cities— our technical fabrics and innovative designs provide safety, comfort and style wherever the journey may be.”

Durbar Collection

The men’s Durbar Collection was inspired by the woodblock printing in the old plazas opposite the royal palaces of Nepal. Consisting of a short sleeve button-down shirt, a pocket tee and the Ganges Short, the Durbar Collection is truly a one-of-a-kind print. On the travel and technical side, the Durbar Shirt’s seams are placed away from shoulder tops to avoid chafing under pack straps, and the shirt’s fabric is made of 57% cotton and 43% polyester, with a moisture wicking finish.

The Jatra Collection

inspired by the Tibetan sand mandalas that represent creation and destruction — is a subtle print, exclusive to Sherpa. Taking up to several weeks to create, mandalas are quickly dismantled to symbolize the Buddhist doctrinal belief in the transitory nature of material life. The Jatra Collection consists of the women’s Jatra Ankle Pant and the Jatra Short — both with top-entry hand pockets with mesh bottoms, for greater ventilation while traveling.

The Kira Collection

the Kira Tee, Tank and Swing Dress — was designed with the inspiration of ancient Bhutanese textiles. Known for their intricate and varied patterns, abundance of colors and weaving techniques, Bhutanese textiles are known and honored as true works of art. The unique pattern of the Kira collection evokes these rich traditional textiles, often found on traditional woven dresses or “Kiras” worn by the women of Bhutan. Made of 48% modal, 48% organic cotton and 4% jersey spandex, the Kira Collection keeps you cool, resists wrinkles and creasing, is very soft, drapes well and has a smooth lustrous finish.

If you are looking for outdoor clothing which is of great style and made by a brand that cares about the community and gives to education projects then Sherpa is a great brand.
